Natural Sciences Museum of Valencia

Museo de Ciencias Naturales

The Museum of Natural Sciences, municipally owned, is located in the old restaurant Viveros, rationalist work of architect Louis Gay, restored and adapted as a center for conservation, study and dissemination of scientific and natural heritage of Valencia.

Located in the Jardines del Real, specifically on Calle General Elio, the Museum of Natural Sciences in Valencia, although not very famous, is undoubtedly one of the museums (in its genre) most important in Spain. Historically Valencia and sciences have been united, great contributions have been made in recent years from the city of Valencia. We present one of the museums that have contributed to the distinction.

The museum is divided into four distinct parts: Contribution to the Sciences of Valencia, The History of Life, Malacology and Ecosystems Valencia, excluding temporary exhibitions which help to enrich, more if possible, the museum. The museum has replicas of both life-size dioramas as interesting. Another interesting fact is that since 2004 were held workshops and tours sponsored by Bancaja, although these activities are currently suspended until further notice.
